The year is off to a fantastic start! I am so proud of the accomplishments and achievements our Scorpions have made thus far! 

“At Santa Rosa, every student achieves every day.” This is our motto for the 2010-2011 school year. Our focus will be on celebrating the daily academic accomplishments and achievements of our students. 

Our goal is that students not only learn and master something new every day but that they find something that they can be proud of every day (achievement). It is our belief that by celebrating student success our student achievement will increase because student motivation to perform and do well in school will increase. 

The last ten minutes of every school day will be “Achievement Time.” During this time, teachers in grades K-1 will lead students in a whole group discussion regarding what they achieved during the day. In grades 2-5, students will write in an Achievement Journal what they achieved during the day.
 
We are asking that when your child gets home, that you join in this mission with us by asking your child, “What did you achieve today?”
